How ButtaBeeFitness came to bee:
As a teenager, I was bullied. I shopped at Lane Bryant, failed my presidential fitness test, and drank soda like it was life sustaining. Everything changed when at age 13, a Doctor called me fat.
I immediately cut my soda drinking habit which shed 20 lbs off my “fat” body. In college I hired a personal trainer and lost 100lbs! Life was good! I was confident, I felt strong, and then I entered into a toxic relationship, gaining 80lbs back in the blink of an eye. When we broke up, I started logging acts of self care like joyful movement, nutrient dense meals, and mindfulness. These principles helped me get back to my original weightloss goal which I have maintained for 5+ years. Having done the impossible, I am passionate about longterm lifestyle change because I know that it is possible! This is what BBF was built on!
Whoever you are, whatever your background, I hope to inspire you to dream big and achieve your goals in a unique and creative way. Knowledge is power, but it starts with knowing change is possible. We spend so much of our time focused on what we CAN’T do. I want you to know that anything is possible. You CAN do it, and I will help you to get there.
In my deepest darkest moments, I’ve been blessed to have people who have listened to my pains and allowed for me to keep my heart open. Feeling safe, heard, and welcome has been the key to my heart, and I want to help others unlock theirs.
